I know this post is old, but apparently this is still a problem in Windows 7 Pro.

I
had this exact same problem and after reading and piecing together several posts on
several message boards this is what worked for me.

USB Printer Port Missing

This is caused by usbprint.inf and/or usbport.inf getting corrupted.

Unplug the Printer cable.

Delete the printer from Printers and devices or remove the device.
Rename both of the corrupted files in C:\Windows\inf.
Copy the files to the affected machine from another machine that is working.
Create a .reg file from the text below and run this reg file or just modify the
registry.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\USB Monitor]

"Driver"="usbmon.dll"

Reboot the computer.

Plug in Cable, the USB drivers should re-install.
Re-install and configure the printer. The USB Ports are all there to select.
This worked for our situation, but it may not work for all situations.

- Access a computer that does not have this issue and navigate to C:\Windows\inf.

- Locate the usbprint file and make a copy of it.

- Go to the computer with the usb printing issue and navigate to C:\Windows\inf.

- Locate the usbprint file and delete it, then paste the file you just copied into
this folder.

- Make sure the printer is not connected to the computer and then restart your
computer.

- After the computer is back up, try installing the printer again and it should
install successfully.

- This worked for me on a Windows 7 32-bit Operating System and I hope it works in
your situation.
