5. Description

(a) Introduction,

“Sneham 2k19”, the Alumni Meet, was inaugurated by the Head of Department of
Mechanical Engineering Prof. 8N.S. Biradar, on 16th April 2019, Tuesday. Alumni Meet
started traditionally with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest and was followed by the
recital song “Saraswati Vandana”.

The occasion was graced by 269 students. Our current MESA students have presented a
slide show of some memories by showing their photos to reminisce their memorable
days in the department. Speaking on the occasion, the HOD underlined and praised the
achievements of Students of Mechanical department in all walks/spheres of life. He felt
that it was matter of great pride for ICOER Mechanical department that its students are
holding positions of responsibility in various Government organizations, PSUs, Private
sector, Academic Institutions, he also praised the contribution of alumni towards the
growth of their Alma Mater and emphasized the need for further strengthening the
linkage between the Alumni and ICOER Mechanical department and current students.

Theme

The main theme behind Alumni Meet was to grow alumni network of Mechanical
department, as well as to strengthen bond between ICOER Mechanical department.

Significance

(b) Conduction

The Mechanical Department Coordinator of Alumni association welcomed the alumni in

the campus and appreciated their zeal to assemble here. He presented the report of the
activities undertaken by the association. He also outlined many future activities to be
taken up by the Association. The gathering was also addressed by HOD of Mechanical
Department.

The Inaugural session was followed by cultural program by our students. Many of the
current students were also seen interacting with their pass out seniors and learning
from their experiences.

Guest details

The Guest for Alumni Meet was current final year students and previous batches of
Mechanical department.

Activity

(C) Students & Faculty response & participation

Response of Alumni students was overwhelming to the various activates conducted

during Alumni Meet. The occasion was graced by more than 235 final year students.
Many of the current students were also participate in Alumni Meet their seniors &
learning from their experiences. Faculty of ICOER Mechanical department are
participated in various manner to make a successful alumni meet.
