1 Predicate Nominative

γίνομαι I become, am, happen, take place, come into being, am born, am created,
come, go, appear, arise, appear

εἰμί I am

ὑπάρχω I exist

2 Genitive

ἀκούω I hear (can also take accusative)

ἄρχω I rule

3 Dative

ἀκολουθέω I follow

ἀποκρίνομαι I answer

ἀφίημι I let go, leave, permit, forgive


(dative of person forgiven;
accusative of sin forgiven)

ἐπιτίθημι I lay upon


(dative of the person or thing upon which it is placed;
accusative of thing placed)

εὐαγγελίζω I preach the good news


(dative of person to whom it is preached;
accusative of message preached)

πιστεύω I believe (can also take accusative)

προσκυνέω I worship (can also take accusative)

προσφέρω I bring to
(dative of person to whom it is brought;
accusative of thing brought)
