Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Grade 7

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
a. differentiate the 3 kinds of Sentences
b. formulate thier own example sentences from each kind of sentence.
c. appreciate the importance of learning the different kinds of sentences by listening attentively
to the discussion and highly participating in group activities.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Kinds of Sentences
Lesson: Speaking
Materials: Cartolina, Marker, Masking Tape,
References: Essential English;Worktext in Literature and Language

III. Procedure
A. Review
Ask the class about their previous lesson.

What they learn about the previous discussion.

B. Motivation
Introduce the game “Pick Me When the Music Stops” by explaning what to do during the game.
Play the Game introduced by the teacher.
Let the students pick something on the box being passed during the game.
Introduce the topic Kinds of Sentences

C. Activities
Divide the class into 5 groups
Each group will follow the instruction given by the teacher for the activity.
The reporting will follow after each group is done with the task.

D. Abstraction/Generalization
Give the definition of each kind of sentence.
Brief discussion about the topic and will provide example sentences.
Proceed witht the reporting of each group.
Ask the learners randomly formulate their own example sentence.

E. Application
The learners are given sample sentences posted on the board and they are going to identify
what kind of sentence does each sentence belong.

IV. Assessment
The students will formulate their own example sentence for each kind to placed in ½
crosswise.

V. Assignment

Assignment Notebook: Make a simple conversation applying the three kinds of sentences
