Subject: Letter of Intent for the Use of Abelardo Hall

Dear Dean de la Peña:

This is to signify my intent to use/rent the UP College of Music Abelardo Hall on Saturday,
December 14, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 in the evening for my solo piano recital. This is in
coordination with and under the guidance of my piano teacher, Prof. Gemma Malicdem. The
recital will start at 6:00 pm but as recommended by my teacher, we will be reserving earlier for
warm-up.
I am currently a second-year medical student at the UP College of Medicine in Manila, but I
have been regularly taking piano lessons and performing at student recitals under the UP
College of Music Extension Program for over 14 years now. Through the years, I have been
under the mentorship and tutelage of the following teachers: Prof. Dada Larracas, Prof.
Jourdann Petalver, Prof. Agot Espino, and at present, Prof. Gemma Malicdem. I have been
studying under her for the past four years.
It has always been a dream of mine to hold a solo recital, and Ma’am Gemma and I have been
preparing for this special milestone in my progression as a pianist for a long time now.
