SUBMITTED TO:
1. GENERAL OBJECTIVES
To familiarize with the tools and equipment of refrigeration, and its functions.
2. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
To familiarize the tools and equipment of refrigeration.
III.DISCUSSION
CHARGING HOSE
A rubber hose used for charging refrigerants to a system.
CHARGING SCALE
The Charging Scale accurately and reliably weighs refrigerant tanks during charging and
recovery operations.
CLAMPMETER
The Clamp Meter is an electrical meter with an integral AC current clamp. This allows
properties of the electric current in the conductor to be measured.
DATA LOGGER
A data logger is an electronic device that records data over time or in relation to location
either with a built in instrument or sensor or via external instruments and sensors.
DIGITAL MANIFOLD
Through the use of a Digital Manifold, pressures and temperatures can be loaded, adjusted,
tested and monitored.
FIN COMB
The Fin Comb is designed to straighten evaporator and condenser fins. The tool also cleans
dirt and dust to help prevent overflows.
FLARING TOOLS
A Flaring Tool is a refrigeration tool use to spread the copper end outward until a flare is
formed.
HYGROMETER
A hygrometer is an instrument used to measure relative humidity.
INFRARED/POCKET THERMOMETER
An infrared thermometer is a non-contact temperature measurement device.
Pocket Thermometers are ideal for laboratory, field, and process measurements. They are
used to quickly verify temperature.
MANIFOLD GAUGE
The manifold gauge is used to measure refrigerant pressures when refrigerant and oil are
added or removed from an air conditioning system.
MANOMETER
A manometer is a device to measure pressures.
PRESSURE GAUGE
Pressure Gauges are used to measure pressures. There are several types varying from
pressure range, sensitivity, and dynamic response.
PRESSURE GAUGE W/ OIL
Liquid filled gauge have better protection against vibration, pulsation, corrosion, and
moisture makes for a long-lasting, reliable instrument.
PINCH OFF
The Pinch Off is used to pinch the radiator hose, enabling work to be done on a cooling
system without the need to drain all its fluids.
R410A ADAPTOR
To allow the usage of a standard charging hose for a system that uses a different size of
fitting.
RECOVERY MACHINE
A Recovery Machine is a device which can be used to remove refrigerant from a cooling
system such as a freezer, refrigerator, or air conditioning system.
RECYCLING MACHINE
A Recycling Machine removes oil and other impurities from the refrigerant, filtering it and
then recycling it back to the tank.
REFRIGERANT IDENTIFIER
A refrigerant identifier is used to identify unknown refrigerants, protecting your A/C service
equipment.
CONDENSATE PUMP
A condensate pump is a specific type of pump used to pump the condensate (water)
produced in an HVAC (heating or cooling), refrigeration, condensing boiler furnace or steam
system.
STEAM CLEANER
A steam pressure washer is high pressure mechanical sprayer that releases steam to
clean engines, transmissions, drive trains, and other equipment prior to performing service
and maintenance work.
