Admission criteria

3. Admissions to unreserved category seats of both DU & JMI shall me made through a common
merit list.
4. For 10 unreserved seats (5 of DU, 5 of JMI), based on common merit list of applicants
appeared in the entrance test top 40 qualifying applicants (4 times of available seats as
mentioned before) shall be shortlisted for Interview call.
5. For 3 OBC seats of DU, based on merit list of OBC applicants appeared in the entrance test 12
top qualifying applicants (4 times of available seats as mentioned before) shall be shortlisted
for Interview call.
6. For 1 SC seat of DU, based on merit list of SC applicants appeared in the entrance test 4 top
qualifying applicants (4 times of available seats as mentioned before) shall be shortlisted for
Interview call.
7. For 1 ST seat of DU, based on merit list of ST applicants appeared in the entrance test 4 top
qualifying applicants (4 times of available seats as mentioned before) shall be shortlisted for
Interview call.

8. For 3 MUSLIM GENERAL seats of JMI, based on merit list of MUSLIM GENERAL
applicants appeared in the entrance test 12 top qualifying applicants (4 times of available seats
as mentioned before) shall be shortlisted for Interview call.
9. For 1 MUSLIM OBC/MUSLIM ST seat of JMI, based on merit list of MUSLIM
OBC/MUSLIM ST applicants appeared in the entrance test 4 top qualifying applicants (4 times
of available seats as mentioned before) shall be shortlisted for Interview call.
10. For 1 MUSLIM WOMAN seat of JMI, based on merit list of MUSLIM WOMAN applicants
appeared in the entrance test 4 top qualifying applicants (4 times of available seats as
mentioned before) shall be shortlisted for Interview call.
11. In every category, in case of tie of scores, all such applicants be called for interview.
12. Based on combined performance of Entrance Test and Interview, again qualifying list will be
repapered and accordingly first merit list will be announced. From common merit list, in first
admission list, 10 unreserved seats (5 of DU, 5 of JMI) shall be offered to top 10 qualifying
applicants with odd number of seats marked for DU and even number of seats marked for JMI.
13. The entrance test has 85% weightage (maximum marks 340) that is followed by an interview of
shortlisted candidates with 15 % weightage (maximum marks 60).

Other instructions
1. "The "Qualifying Marks in the Entrance Examinations" are the minimum marks required to be
eligible for admission to the Course. However, in all Courses wherein admissions are based on
the rank/merit in the entrance examination, securing the Qualifying Marks in the Entrance
Examinations is not a guarantee for admission, but merely an entitlement to be considered for
admission.
2. The Candidate is being allowed to appear in the entrance test subject to fulfillment of the
eligibility conditions and verification of his/her documents after declaration of result of the test.
Merely qualifying the entrance test does not guarantee admission of the candidate to the course.
The admission of the candidate will be considered in accordance with the University rules.
3. Admission process will be strictly as per guidelines given in bulletin of information 2016-17
issued by University of Delhi.
4. Provisional admission are not allowed, admission will be given only on fulfilling minimum
eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
5. Applicants are responsible for regularly checking the portal for any updates.
6. The OBC candidates who belong to the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ and whose castes appear in the
Central List of the OBCs only shall be eligible to be considered for admission under the OBC
Category.
7. Interviews of shortlisted candidates are scheduled for 11th & 12th July 2016 at Cluster
Innovation Centre, University of Delhi, Delhi -110007. Details in this regard will be uploaded
with entrance test result on websites of University of Delhi ( www.du.ac.in ) and Cluster
Innovation Centre ( www.ducic.ac.in ).
