HAVE A GOAL, NOT A DREAM.

Jamaica Bilano

“Success is not built on success. It’s built on failure. It’s built on frustration. Sometimes it’s
built on catastrophe.” — Sumner Redstone
People believed that success is the product of what has been dreamt of. Dreams that inspire
one to take risks and pursue what they want to be. Yet some person compare their success to
others without realizing that success never happened to be sitting in one’s front door.
“Is success an elusive dream which seems to be unattainable?”
On my level, I say “yes.”
“Is success from a dream or a plan?”
On my level, I say “it’s a plan.”
Yes success is a dream, a visionary image of imagination. It is something that we are wanting to
do, to be and to have for a long time. However, it will remain just a dream if we don’t have a
goal. Goal directly pushes us to take action to fulfill something that we are trying to do or
achieve.
Dreams are for the idealistic, while goal is for realistic. How can I say so? Because when we
dreamt of something, we only feel happiness. We only feel the contentment we want without
hurting; without taking into consideration of other things. We are flooded with joy that serves as
the scapegoat of what’s real. And for an instance, it only give us a little time to have a peace of
mind. Why? Because success happen to be built out of frustration, out of being once a failure
and underlying attributes in one’s life.
Have a goal, not a dream without action. Dream or goal, it doesn’t matter. What matters most is
the manner of reaching our destination. At the end of the day, it is joyful to wake up that we are
inspired to achieve our goal or what we dreamt.
