Student Chapter Activities

On this document is written the list of student chapter activities per

department that are going to be done over the course of 2019 to 2020. Not
included in this document is the transition of power from the president of the
student chapter, voting process, and the presentation of accountability report of
each department.

I. External Department

1. Industrial Visit
Industrial Visit is an activity that aim all the Chemical Engineering student of
Pertamina University to increase the experience in real world of chemical engineering
work by visiting the industrial plant.

2. AIChe's Staff Calendar

AIChE's Calendar is an activity for all of the AIChE’s staff member to make a
reminder all of the event that is going to be held by AIChE’s staff member, including
an important date, deadline reminder and countdown toward an event.

3. Learn, Share, and Connect

This event aim AIChE’s member to establish a good relation with the other
Student Chapter of AIChE in Indonesia, by visiting the other SC in Indonesia (ITS,
ITB, and the other SC). Hoping to learn and explore new experience in managing the
AIChE in Pertamina University.

II. Students Activities and Involvement Department

1. HSSE Seminar
Bringing in experts to hold seminars on occupational health and safety in scope
of Chemical Engineering.
 2. ChEmition
Chemition (Chemical Engineering Competition), this activity is carried out to
introduce the field of Chemical Engineering to senior high school students, which
features various competition and mini experiments.

3. SAChE certification for students

This program aims to make tutorials about how to access and pass SAChE
course and to get certified by AIChE.

4. Socialization and internalization

This activity introduces AIChE to all chemical engineering students in
Pertamina University, including benefits of joining AIChE, what program that AIChE
have, and invite all Chemical Engineering student of Pertamina University to join
AIChE.

5. Chem-e-Car Workshop
This activity is mainly aimed to facilitate and train students of chemical
engineering about Chem-E-Car. In this workshop, we will invite speakers to give
knowledge and practice about Chem-E-Car and also visiting some universities who
won a Chem-E-car event.

III. Student Resources Development

1. Forum group discussion (FGD)

FGD (Forum group discussion) it is an activity that aims to train teamwork

between individuals to solve a problem and obtain a solution within a specified period
of time where participants are pressured because of time constraints this is useful for
training each participant to work together under pressure and the problem that given in
this program around the sphere of chemical engineering industry.
 2. Chemical Engineer Fact (ChE-Facts)
Chemical engineering fact (Chefacts) Is an activity that aims to present news
and information about the mining industry or other matters that are related through
social media and indirectly expected to increase the knowledge of chemical engineering
students at Pertamina University.

3. Chemical engineering TOEFL (Chefel)

Chemical engineering TOEFL (chefel) Is an activity that aims to improve the
English language skills of Pertamina chemical engineering students through the TOEFL
test.

4. Grand Seminar

It is a top event of the AICHE management before changing management, which

in this program involves all departments in AICHE. in this big program AICHE will
hold a large seminar that invites not only AICHE from Pertamina's university but will
also invite student chapter from other major. This aims to establish good cooperation
and relationships between all the majors at the Pertamina University.

5. Leadership Training Camp

Its a event train young member to preparing for the next generation management
of AICHE Student Chapter. The event consist of seminar about leadership, time
management, public speaking, and information about AICHE.

IV. Internal Department

1. Steering committee

Steering committee is an activity to increase the relationship between each

student year, from freshman to senior of AIChE UP SC. This program has a group
which consist 12 member and the leader, in this group can be used as study group, or
sharing group.

2. Cherget
Cheget (Chemical Engineering Gathering Event) is an activity aimed all
generation of Chemical Engineering UP to know each other and increase the
relationship members of AIChE UP SC. This activity consists of some event like sing
a song, games and sharing experience from the senior and sophomore student.

3. Staff’s Days Off

This event is held each semester to create a more accepting, fun, and joyful
atmosphere inside the board of staff by doing recreational activity together. The staff
will also get closer and knows each other, therefore, promoting great teamwork along
the way.
