PARTICIPANT INFORMED CONSENT

“Impacts of Student’s Negative Communicating Behavior on Teachers”

You are being invited to participate in a research study entitled: “Impacts of Student’s Negative
Communicating Behavior on Teachers”. This study being conducted by Grade 12 Block-A students of
Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) aims to find out how or in what ways does students'
negative communicating behavior impacts the teachers of Baguio City National High School.

There are no known risks if you decide to participate in this research study. There are no costs to you
for participating in the study. On the other hand, there will be no monetary compensation to be given for
your involvement in the study.

The information you will provide will determine the ways how such behavior affect teachers through
specific observable effects, emotions and their sense of responsibility, and how they plan to address the
problems. The interview will take about 25 - 35 minutes to complete. The information collected may or
may not benefit you directly, but the information learned in this study should provide more general
benefits to you and the community, including, schools and school administration, students, and other
teachers.

The data collection conducted follows an ethical procedure wherein your identity will be considered
anonymous, regardless of all recordings and footage conducted during the interview session for these can
only be viewed by the researchers only and will not be open for public viewing. Rest assured that no one
will be able to identify you or associate your answers to your identity. Likewise, no one will know
whether or not you participated in this study. Should the data be published or disseminated, no individual
information will be disclosed.

Your participation in this study is voluntary. You are free to decline regarding your participation in
this study in case you do not wish to for any reason. Should you wish to withdraw from the study, you
may verbalize your intent to the researchers and/or return the unfinished questionnaire.

In case of an injury or any health related concern during the data gathering, the researchers will be
assisting you to the nearest clinic or medical facility.
