Dear Parents:

Good Day!

In lieu with the “Buwan ng Wika” celebration we would like to inform you that
there will be a Culminating Activity for ASAP students on August 7, 2019
(Wednesday) from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cultural Center of the Philippines
(CCP). Students will be participating through viewing an Independent Film featured for
this year’s Cinemalaya Film Festival.

The students will be seeing the movie “Pandanggo sa Hukay” starring Iza
Calzado. The movie is about a small-town midwife’s preparation for a job interview that
is disrupted by series of unfortunate turn of events.

This activity aims to develop a foundation for understanding cinema-and its

relation to culture, history, technology and aesthetics. We believe that learning can take
place not only on the four walls of the classroom and we are hoping for your affirmative
