I am Delmar Acorda Ferrer, I was born premature on September 20, 1984 in
Famy, Laguna where I had memorable childhood life. My friends call me " Mimay", while my colleagues called me "Mar", "Del" and "AMO". I am happily married to my lovely wife, Neneth Kaharian, and we are blessed with wonderful children named Mary Julia, age 5, and a 2-month old baby Marie Julien. My wife and I both studied at Adamson University-she was taking BSBA and I was taking my BSEE. On April of 2001, when I was enrolling at Adamson University, our paths had crossed at the footbridge, where she greeted me. I was wondering who she was? Then years passed, she was formally introduced to me through a common friend on the Christmas eve of 2003. After years of ups and downs, we got married on December 10, 2011 in San Sebastian Parish, Famy, Laguna. My father is Mr. Arturo N. Ferrer from Bayambang, Pangasinan, an electrician, while my mother Marissa is from Famy, Laguna a street vendor and housewife. I am the eldest among five children and right now we are practicing our respective professions. I was followed by my sister Atty. Maridel De Lumen, a lawyer; then next to her is a college professor Mark-del teaching in LSPU, then next is Mack-Ar, a First Lieutenant Pilot from the Philippine Air Force; and the youngest brother is Mar an employee at FLECO. We got our diplomas thru the strength and perseverance of our parents. Despite of all hardships, and sacrifices and with the values of education, our family was able to escape poverty thru strong faith in God. I had my primary education at Famy Elementary School where I graduated in the year 1997. My secondary education was at Liceo de Pakil where I graduated in 2001. During my college years, our family was financially challenged. We were able to make both ends meet by selling street foods during weekends, by helping on the rice fields and saving every extra money we had. During summer, my mother and I were selling snacks at the beaches of Real and Infanta, Quezon. With all those struggles, I managed to graduate from Adamson University on March 2006 through the assistance of my college assurance plan from CAP. I was determined and I pushed myself thru self- study but I failed the September 2006 REE Board Examination. Nevertheless, Authobiography of Delmar A. Ferrer
with my perseverance to be a Registered Electrical Engineer, I never stopped
and prepared myself to take the examination again. Fortunately, by God's grace, I passed the April 2007 REE Board Examination and the March 2007 Professional Eligibility Examination of Civil Service Commission. In order to gain experience, I became a Process Engineer at Epson, construction work as a Junior Electrical Engineer at GMC-CDC and became Electrical Supervisor at FODC-CDC from to then, I gain design experience at PHPC Co. Ltd as Senior Electrical Engineer. I became a Project Manager at Powertrunking System Inc. last and then a Project Manager for GWP Electrical Construction up to present. With 11 years of work experience, I am entrusted to be in-charge of overall project estimation, design and construction for various projects of the company. My most significant achievement happened when I started my own sub-contracting company named Eastern Power Construction which currently employs almost 10 personnel under my wing. I am simple person, kind hearted and easy to be with. I enjoy food trips but personally do not like sweet foods except graham cake. I love playing basketball and watching movies. Punctuality and honesty are very important to me and I dislike boastful personality. I want to be remembered as a blessing to all people I met. Likewise, I believe that professional advancement is the key to the healthy competition within the industry. Last 2017, I attended PEE mentoring at Metro West. I was inspired by all speakers and I am choosing this Umbria Commercial Center Electrical System Design to be my TER because this my first contracted design when I entered electrical contracting. To preserve the integrity and dignity of electrical engineering I am willing to help standardize the electrical practice. For my family and professional growth, I fully commit myself to complete and submit my TER on or before the prescribe deadline.
