Please see the reference cited. The Tourism activities proposed to be

conducted in the Poomala Dam premises as per the Project report prepared is approved subject to
the following conditions.
1) The site officers have to ensure that the proposed activities are being taken up for tourism
development for DTPC and the proposed activities are implemented in accordance to the
scope of work envisaged.
2) The Execution, operation, Management and revenue sharing pattern of the project should
be as per the guidelines in the Government order vide reference (1) cited above.
3) The officers of the Irrigation Department in charge of the Dam should ensure that the
project does not interfere with safety, security and operations under normal and
emergency situations and does not pollute reservoir and river downstream.
4) Clearance for the proposal has to be obtained from Kerala Dam Safety Authority.
5) The activities shall not be in any way contrary to the sections of “Kerala Irrigation and
Conservation Act, 2003”.
It is also informed that the approval of the architectural design as per the
Government order is out of purview of this office and an amendment regarding the same was
requested to the Government.
