The Regional Intelligence Division shall be headed by a PCO with the rank of Police Senior Superintendent and shall be composed of three (3) Sections, namely: 1) Intelligence Operations, Liaison and Training Section; 2) Counter-Intelligence and Security Section; and 3) Intelligence Research Section. 3. _ The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) will be headed by a PCO with the rank of Police Senior Superintendent and shall be composed of four (4) Sections, namely: 1) Investigation Section; 2) Detective Management Section; 3) Criminal Records Management and Evidence Section; and 4) Pre-Charge Investigation Section. 4. Initial personnel, equipment, facilities and funding requirements shall be provided by the respective Regional Directors of the Police Regional Offices. The separation prescribes to support the following, a. __Reshape the way in which the affected police officers will perform their task; b. Promote career growth and development among eligible officers; c. Have their own mandated task distinctive of each other; d. An aggressive role in Internal Security Operations (ISO); . _ Check-in-balance between the two (2) Divisions;g. __ Ensure that professional standards are maintained in each area of expertise; and h. Coordination between NHQ (DI and DIDM) with counterpart at the RHQ will be effective and efficient because of clear demarcation of functions.
