A RESOLUTION BY THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF BARANGAY

___________________, MUNICIPALITY OF RIZAL, PROVINCE OF NUEVA ECIJA
APPROVING THE OPENING OF BANK ACCOUNT DESIGNATING HON.
_______________, SK CHAIRPERSON AND _________________, SK TREASURER AS
THE ACCOUNT SIGNATORIES.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 20 (a) of the SK Reform Act of 2015 or RA

10742, ten percent (10%) of the general fund of the barangay shall be set aside for the SK;

WHEREAS, the sangguniang barangay shall appropriate the SK funds in lump-sum,

which shall be disbursed solely for youth development and empowerment purposes;

WHEREAS, Section 20 (b) of the same law provides that the SK shall have financial
independence in its operations, disbursements, and encashment of their fund, income and
expenditures;

WHEREAS, Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 1, s. 2019: Guidelines on the

Appropriation, Release, Planning and Budgeting Process for the SK Funds consistent with
Section 20 (b) of RA 10742, states that “the SK shall open a current account in the name of
the SK in a bank, preferably government-owned, situated in or nearest to its area
jurisdiction, with the SK Chairperson and the SK Treasurer as the official signatories”;

NOW THEREFORE, on the motion of Hon. ________________ and jointly seconded by

all the Sangguniang Kabataan Members; be it

 RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Kabataan of
Barangay _______________, Municipality of Rizal, Province of Nueva Ecija to approve the
opening of bank account designating Hon. ____________, SK Chairperson and
_____________, SK Treasurer as the account signatories;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished all the members of
the Sangguniang Kabataan, Sangguniang Barangay of Canaan East, the Local Youth
Development Office, the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Office of the
Mayor, Office of the Municipal Accountant and other government agencies concerned for
their information and guidance.
