BREAKING NEWS:

While authorities verify the 'ISIS presence' in North Luzon, including Tuguegarao, Mayor Jefferson
Soriano ordered the suspension of the "No Helmet, No Travel Policy" until August 20, 2019 as part of the
safety measures as the city celebrates Afi Festival 2019.

In a joint statement with Tuguegarao police, Soriano said city officials and the local police are taking the
issue seriously.

As an additional measure, the city government also prohibited the use of backpacks during major events
of the festival: TugSayaw Competition, Afi Festival Dance Presentation, and Miss Tuguegarao Pageant at
the Cagayan Sports Complex.
