    Ethics- Ethics are the principles that govern the behavior of the individual or the

    way of doing an activity.

    Business Ethics- Business ethics are moral principles that guide the way a business
    behaves. The same principles that determine an individual’s actions also apply to
    business.

    Here are 7 principles which I think most businesses would in principle agree on:

    1. Be honest
    2. Be fair
    3. Treat people with respect. Treat people as humans and individuals.
    4. Deliver value to stakeholders (customers, employees, community, &
    investors)
    5. Do no harm (or on balance do no harm)
    6. Leave a legacy. Give back.
    7. Stay true to the mission ( the commitment & promise to your people,
    customers, & stakeholders)
