Rebuild is in full swing
Each week, new signs are popping up in neighborhoods across the
city to let residents know that Rebuild improvements are underway in
their park, recreation center, or library. Over 90% of Philadelphia’s
community spaces are in critical need of facilities improvements. Made
possible by the Philadelphia Beverage Tax, Rebuild is the Mayor’s plan
to invest hundreds of millions of dollars to fund these repairs in the
communities where they are needed most.
Last year, City Council approved 64 sites for Rebuild funding. Today,
24 of those sites already have work underway. Here are the details of the
Rebuild projects moving forward across the city:
