EUROPE

Europe - is a continent located entirely in the Northern Hemisphere and mostly in

the Eastern Hemisphere. It is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the
Atlantic Ocean to the west, Asia to the east, and the Mediterranean Sea to the
south. It comprises the westernmost part of Eurasia.

Europe is the World’s second-smallest continent – 10,180,000 km² covering

approximately 6.7% of the Earth’s land and 2% of the Earth’s surface.

Composed of the westward-projecting peninsulas of Eurasia (the great

landmass that it shares with Asia) and occupying nearly one-fifteenth of the
world’s total land area. It is bordered on the north by the Arctic Ocean, on the
west by the Atlantic Ocean, and on the south (west to east) by the
Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, the Kuma-Manych Depression, and the
Caspian Sea. The continent’s eastern boundary (north to south) runs along the
Ural Mountains and then roughly southwest along the Emba (Zhem) River,
terminating at the northern Caspian coast.

European Flora:
Lupin Flowers - The Lupinus are a large genus of handsome plants, represented
in Europe, Asia and North and South America, the poisonous properties of which
are apparently very irregularly and unequally distributed.

Poppy - Poppies are herbaceous plants, often grown for their colourful flowers.
One species of poppy, Papaver somniferum, is the source of the narcotic drug
opium which contains powerful medicinal alkaloids such as morphine and has
been used since ancient times as an analgesic and narcotic medicinal and
recreational drug.

Crocus - is a genus of flowering

plants in the iris family comprising 90 species of perennials growing from corms.
Eurasian Fauna

Eurasian wolf - are the largest of old wolf and subs pieces of grey wolf, found in
wild lowland forest of Europe. *are biggest predator of the European world and
has the largest range among wolf subs pieces.

European badger- found throughout European and feeds on a wide variety of

plant and animals. *are among the carnivorous animal in Europe and highly
adaptable mammal.

European viper-. *is one of the most dangerous species of snake found in
Europe.

Natural Resources:

Climate and Agriculture - Europe enjoys a mild and temperate climate. Unique
wind patterns and ocean currents keep Europe warmer than other landmasses
at similar latitudes.

Forestry and Fishing Forestry, the management of trees and other vegetation in
forests, is an important industry in Europe. Forest industries produce more than
$600 billion every year. Forestry and timber industries employ 3.7 million people,
and account for 9 percent of Europe’s manufacturing gross domestic product
(GDP).
Deserts

parts of the Walachian Plain, in the one of the romantic destinations in
Romanian region of Oltenia covering Europe
the area between the city of Calafat
and the town of Dăbuleni.

Serbia - is a large sand area

in Vojvodina province, Serbia. It is
located in southern Banat, situated
