I. Objectives
July 11, 2019 At the end of the lesson, the students are
expected to:;
Meeting 2 1. ; and
2. trace words that has silent or unpronounced
sounds, words that sound almost alike, and words
that sound completely alike.

II. Motivation
The class is divided into 4 groups for a contest. It
is expected to have 12 students in a team.
Mechanics:
1. Each member of the group will get a strip
of paper inside the container and read
aloud what is written on it. Be sure to
speak clearly.
2. Go to the front and look for the answer of
the question.
3. Go to the board and write your answer
4. The group who completed the task first will
be declared as winner.
III. Lesson Development
After playing the song the teacher will pose
questions to the students:
a. Did you enjoy the song? Can you relate?
b. What was the song all about?
c. Was the singer happy in singing the song?
d. Have you also listened to someone sharing
to you about his/her problems?
After analyzing the song, the class will have a
group activity, which is a role play. The class will
be divided into 5 groups. Each group will be
assigned to a specific type of listening. They
should think of an example about their assigned
type and demonstrate it to the class.

IV. Closure
Each group is asked to give at least 2 words that
they can describe about the presentation of
another group. This will be listed on the board to
show its differences. After giving words, each type
will be discussed more to let them understand
clearly.

V. Assessment
The teacher will give another activity to the class
to prove how well they listened the discussion and
how they follow directions. The teacher will state
instructions and questions then the students
should follow these. These instructions and
questions will only be repeated once.
Instructions and questions:
1. Write your name on the last line of the
lower left of the paper.
2. On the first line of the paper write the
numbers 1 to 9 on the left side. Leave a
space between each number.
3. Circle the number 8
4. Draw a star on the upper right corner of the
paper.
5. Poke a hole on the center of the paper.
Use the tip of your ball pen to do this.
6. Draw a heart around the hole you made in
your paper earlier.
7. Write the title of the song that we sang
earlier. Write it in number 1.
8. What was the assigned topic of group 1 or
the type of listening that they presented?
Put your answer in the encircled number.
9. What were the other 4 types of listening
presented? Write your answer starting from
number 3 to number 6.
10. On the last line of the page and the lower
right of the paper, write the word “Good
job.”

VI. Valuing
For the continuation of their activity, they will
answer this question(activity from the assessment
1-10):
1. Why should you give importance to
listening?

VII. Assignment
On a one half sheet of paper, write down things
that can impede on your listening. Write as many
as you can, for a minimum of 10.
