CHP126 – MicroSCADA Pro Substation

Automation System – Maintenance

Course goal
The participants acquire knowledge on the handling of the replacement of a defective unit, so that they
know how to configure spare components replacing the faulty unit and to set the repaired system in
operation again.

Main learning objectives Topics

The participants will be able to:
— Troubleshoot the system, using the opera-
tion and maintenance manual
— Replace defective IEDs and other compo-
nents (station computer, gateway, switch,
GPS clock) in the substation automation sys-
tem
— State the safety rules and instructions to be
observed when working on the equipment
— Configure the replaced units by appropriate
tools and downloading the relevant product
and system configuration files
— Name possible cyber security features
— Backup/restore the whole system

Prerequisites
Engineering degree, technical college qualifica-
tions or equivalent. Basic knowledge of substa-
tion automation as well as PC based data pro-
cessing.
