Topic: Study of Digital transactions at Retail outlet and Market Research of Branded fuels

Abstract: All public Sector Oil-marketing companies offers Different facilities to customers for using
Cashless mode of transaction at their retail outlets, some of which are directly provided by Oil
companies itself others are provided by financial institution(bank) and e-wallet companies. The
research study was conducted to test whether inhouse HP-Refuel can attract the customers based on
its features. The aim of the study was to gain insights into the customer’s understanding, awareness
and adaptability of cashless mode as a preferred payment method. The data from the study helped to
understand the factors affecting the consumer’s payment decision, challenges faced by
stakeholders(consumers, dealers & employees) and to plan on intensifying the overall cashless sales
at retail outlets using current resources available.

The second part of the project is focused on the customers buying behaviour for branded fuels. The
study aimed to figure out the retail outlets and region with maximum customer potential and
increment of market share in premium fuel category. the market research methodologies employed
include primary data collection through survey at retail outlets. The stats from the study aid to
understand the parameters(i.e. awareness, visibility, aggregator etc) to work upon and on the basis of
that certain marketing strategies were recommended.
