Hello!

Thank you for your interest in trying out for the Law Moot & Debate Society of the
DLSU College of Law. We’re glad to help you see how you can contribute to the
organization’s moot court competition teams. Here are a few tips and reminders to
guide you in preparing for tryouts!

Written Output

Interested applicants are expected to have a working knowledge of the Asia Cup
2018 problem. As the memorial rounds are integral to the success of the team in
qualifying for the international rounds in Japan, excellent writing skills and
sufficiency and breadth of research is required.

In view of this, applicants shall be required to write a short paper containing the
following:

1. A digest of the problem, in their own words with paragraphs from the
problem cited accordingly;
2. A position statement on the issue of the use of force for both Applicant and
Respondent.

For the sake of brevity, the paper should be no longer than three (3) pages.

Interviews

Applicants will then be interviewed by the team. Questions shall cover at least the
following topics:

1. General questions on public international law;

2. Problem-specific questions;
3. Aptitude and personality towards work; and,
4. Any other questions the team might see fit to ask.
