This is to request the Secretary’s approval on the travel authority for Ms. Analyn G.
Sagana, Engineer II of the Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering, to attend
the Training Course on Promotion of Agricultural Machinery Utilization for Small Scale
Farmers scheduled from March 3, 2019 to September 27, 2019 in Japan.
The said training is part of the JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program (Group & Region
Focus) of the Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), which shall be
implemented as part of the Official Development Assistance of the Government of Japan
based on bilateral agreement between both Governments. The program provides a
series of theoretical knowledge and technical skills in the introduction, utilization and
maintenance and management of agricultural machinery to the program participants.
After the program, the participants return to offer proper guidance in selection,
introduction and efficient utilization of agricultural machinery based on local farming
conditions.
All expenses (including round-trip air ticket, accomodation, meals, and per diem) to be
incurred in the course of this official travel shall be borne by JICA. While pre-travel
allowance shall be charged against DA-BAFE funds subject to the usual government
accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
