RESUMEN DE LA HISTORIA

La historia narra la vida de Soapy y como él quería pasar el invierno en una

cárcel, con amigos y comida. En el transcurso de la historia Soapy intenta
cumplir con planes que se propone para que la policía lo lleve a la cárcel, él
entro en un costoso restaurante y quería con el pretexto de no poder pagar,
que llamaran a la policía lo atraparan y pusiera irse a prisión, en su intento
solo consiguió que lo sacaran del restaurante a la calle.
En la historia Soapy con tal de ir a la cárcel crea todo tipo de malicias ,
desde generar ruido en espacio público , acosar a una joven mujer y volver
a ir a un restaurant sin pagar , todo le sale mal y no logra que la policía lo
lleve a prisión, en el primer problema que genero el policía no le cree
porque él se entrega como si nada , cuando acosa la joven mujer ella no se
siente así y a cambio le pide que beban algo y caminen , y cuando vuelve al
restaurante solo consigue que lo volvieran a arrojar a la calle e incluso
Soapy trata mal a un policía, pero solo consigue que piensen que está
tomando demasiado y no le presten atención.
Al final Soapy entra en una calle y encuentra una iglesia donde la música es
agradable y hacen que recuerde su hogar , su familia y amigos, Soapy
reflexiona sobre su vida y todo lo que ha hecho mal, y deduce que ya no
quiere ir a prisión, que va a ser un nuevo hombre y que va a trabajar para
conseguir lo que desea. En ese momento llega un policía y le dice que si
esta hacienda algo, Soapy responde que no y el policía se lo lleva con él a
pagar tres meses de prisión.
