Program name: POIConverter v3.

11
Purpose: To convert POI, route and track data to other formats.

Installation: The POIConverter setup program will copy the files POIConverter.exe,
POIConverter.hlp, MakeOV2_v1-1.exe, default_symbol.bmp and default_pic.pic into the
same folder and create a Shortcut on the Windows Desktop to run the program. To
select the folder that will be used by default when running the program, first
right click on the Shortcut icon and select Properties. On the Shortcut Tab edit
the Start in: field to point to the required folder. The last used input folder
will be saved in the Windows Registry and it will be used as the default folder
when the program is restarted.

Replace the the files default_symbol.bmp and default_pic.pic with your preferred
symbols. These will be used for any newly created TomTom Navigator and Route
Planner overlay files.

The program st2gpx, written by James Sherring and distributed here with his
permission, is used to read the PushPin data from a Microsoft AutoRoute Map (.axe)
file.

The complete download of st2gpx_v0.5 is included in sub-folders of POIConverter.

This directory structure must be maintained if POIConverter is to function
properly.

The files required by POIConverter are:

...POIConverter\st2gpx_05\st2gpx.exe
...POIConverter\st2gpx_05\libexpat.dll

The Fortran run-time library DFORRT.DLL is installed in the folder

\Windows\System32 to provide support the the Excel library qtXLS.

Compatibilty: Tested on a Windows XP Home edition computer.

Known problems:
1: ST2GPX will not create an output file if the path to the program includes
spaces. For this reason POIConverter now installs to the folder
C:\Richard_Davies\POIConverter.
