The process adopted by our society through

centuries…….to refine, correct, absorb and
modify our goals and priorities in life.

Why do we need it
Culture is a complex of such aspects of our
lifestyle that have survived the onslaught of
change and sustained themselves through the
continuum of civilization.

As symbols of civilization, craft represents

a community’s skill to create beauty and
excellence from the available natural
resources……… things that fulfil the basic
ceremony…..things that can be as simple as a
design of a basket or as intricate as a pattern of
textile………

With rapid industrialization and growing

consumerism, this precious heritage seems
endangered as a alien system increasingly
separates the procedure from the products and
the product from the process which were
intertwined in our traditional way of life.

Thus such cultural centres are conceived

and built with the intent of maintaining the
creative continuity of India’s great cultural
heritage.
Project scope

These centres are seen as the catalyst and medium through which every indian can
identify in pride with his national heritage…….

Culture in india although diverse and varied still binds the country together in some
form of common identification. India is perhaps the only country in the world that
exists in the several centuries that one where ancient rituals thrive alongside spectacular
technolocal advantages.

Aims and objectives

 For a cultural centre, lucknow city is already very rich in culture and city has a
kind of culture and tradition which effect and attracts people. Therefore my aim is to
reflect the rich culture of lucknow through my design by creating such
enviornment on site.

 To support and advance the traditional connection among communities, between

their life and their arts and between forms and functions of these arts .

 To mourish, recognize, embed and develop the cultural the cultural component of all
departments of life

 To identify, recognize, revitalize present and disseminate the continuing cultural

traditions of local communities.

 To work around existing cultural landscapes, festivals and institutions rather than
create new ones to replace them.

 Application and accumulation of knowledge to be treated as simultaneous rather

than as isolated processes in culture.

 To promote tourism and develop it as non invasive instrument of biological,

ecological and cultural conservation.
