ABSTRACT

This study examines the essence of effective inventories control management of


health care commodities of Barangay Sinalhan Health Stations.
The aim of this study is to improve the service delivery network with regards to
allocation, distribution and monitoring of health care supplies to the different
health stations of the barangay. In order to carry out this study, various research
instruments such as questionnaires and oral interview were used to collect data
from the respondents. Based on the analysis, the inventory management system
plays a vital role in the health stations of the barangay.
A well functional system following the recommendations can enhance the
effectiveness and efficiency of proper allocation, distribution and monitoring of
the stations health care supplies.
INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of the Study


Inventory system is a challenge in health care facilities. Different problem

arises if there are too much or too low number of commodities to a specific

point of time. Imagine having a lot of hypertensive medicine rather than

having supplies for colds, cough and fever on a rainy season. Having a

modified inventory system that can help the facility in order to track the

number of supplies and monitor their expiration can ease the problem on

allocation, distribution of the commodities.

1.2 Statement of the Problem


The problem seen in the course of this study are as follows:

i. Ineffective management of the supplies.

ii. Improper allocation of medicines and vaccines.

iii. Uncontrolled distribution of supplies.

iv. Monitoring system of supplies.


1.3 Objectives of the Study

i. Effectively manage the supplies.

ii. Properly allocate medicines and vaccines by the level of priority.

iii. Control the distribution of supplies.

iv. Provide an effective system on monitoring the health care commodities.


1.4 Limitations of the Study

The study will only revolve to the two health care stations of Barangay

Sinalhan. This is to ensure that an effective monitoring system can ease the

difficulty of service delivery in the area of choice.
