and relations between two or more things. Ratios having significance in both the vertical
and horizontal analysis. In vertical analysis ratios help the analyst to form a judgment
whether the performance of the firm at a given point of time is in good position or not, and
the use of ratios in horizontal analysis indicates whether the financial condition of the firm is
improving or deteriorating and whether the cost profitability or downward trend. There are
four types of ratios, which are leverage ratios, liquidity ratios, activity ratios, profitability
ratios.
