Subject: Three serious problems faced by Residents of GULSHAN-E- JAMAL

1. Non-Approval of House Map (Block A)
2. Water Connection in Block A
3. Enchroachment in the form of Restaurants and Car Showrooms

Respected Sir,
We the residents of Gulshane Jamal, are facing three major problems since last 25 years. We
have filed a lot of complains to the concerned authorities but still no action has been taken.
These problems are

1/ APPROVAL OF HOUSE MAP (Block-A)

Gulshan-e-Jamal is a developed area and it is a matter of concern that Cantonment

Board Faisal (CBF) is not approving house map. Residents of Block A Gulshan-e-Jamal are facing
this problem since last 25years, having more than 90% houses constructed in this area.

2/ WATER CONNECTION BLOCK-A

The residents of Block A are paying their due taxes on time but unfortunately
Cantonment Board Faisal has failed to provide water connection to the residents. People are
living a miserable life where they have to buy water tanker at a huge amount.

3/ ENCROACHMENT (Restaurants and Car Show rooms)

Another issue faced by residents of Gulshan-e-Jamal, is regarding illegal use of land
(Encroachment) by restaurants and car showrooms. This is matter of great concern that huge
number of complains have been filed against the law breakers but still no action has been
taken. According to Railway Map, the land adjacent to Millenium Mall towards Stadium Road is
for the purpose of widening main road. Furthermore, this land was marked as Green Belt by the
Cantonment Board Faisal. Sections 179 and Section 180 of the cantonment act clearly give
power to the cantonment board in terms of who they give a VALID notice to erect a structure.
Therefore, I ask the board to quash any such activity as Section 185 of the cantonment act
clearly states that the board has the power to demolish any such illegal activity.
This illegal activity is causing huge risk for the residents of Gulshan-e-Jamal. People who come
to dine at these restaurants parked the cars in front of houses and residents entrances gets
blocked making the condition worse for residents.
You are therefore requested to kindly look into the matter and make a survey so that the
seriousness of the matter can be visualized.

We hope that quick action will be taken according to honorable Supreme Court orders and CBF
will take strict action in vacating the land and constructing Green Belt for the residents.

Please kindly take immediate action in resolving the three addressed problems
