Week 1 – April 15-17, 2019

Day 1 (April 15, 2019)

The first day, we were introduced to the staff and to our supervisor. We were tasked to
install another OS(Linux) to our PC, and so we did. We ran through hardware and version
errors along the installation that we weren’t able to solve in the first day since we were left
to our own devices.

Day 2 (April 16, 2019)

The second day, we started it with a meeting introducing us to the framework that we are
going to use for our work. We were given explanations and samples on how to operate the
said framework. After that, we continued on solving the OS problems that we encountered. I
tested out solution fixes from the internet that had the same problem as me and thankfully,
it worked.

Day 3 (April 17, 2019)

On the third day, I started installing the said framework and it took a lot longer than I
thought it would. Our supervisor than proceeded to send us the project that we were
supposed to do. We then continued to split the said projects. I ran along compatibility errors
along the installation of the framework and searched for fixes. Since I’m new to the OS, it
took a lot of time and the day ended without me being able to fix the error.

Week 2 – April 22-26, 2019

Day 4 (April 22, 2019)

The fourth day, I proceeded in finding fixes for the framework, its component and
dependencies took too much time to install so while waiting I observed the work of the
employees in the company. I noticed that they were busy with their current project that was
why weren’t really assisted and were left to find and do things on our own. I came across a
lot of errors in my installation and did it all over again to find where I did wrong.

Day 5 (April 23, 2019)

The fifth day, I asked our supervisor for a part in the installation where there were no fixes to
be found anywhere, she then handed me some files that were required before it would work,
I then continued and then was halfway along the installation. We also submitted the people
to work on the projects given which were divided into two.

Day 6 (April 24, 2019)

The sixth day, I continued with the framework installation and completed then. Then, our
supervisor gave us files for the database that we are going to use. During the import, I came
across an error that I had no idea how to fix. We then asked for help from our supervisor but
instead, our boss, gave us the solution for the problem where he said it was a problem he
also encountered and that he understands because we are new to the operating system.

Day 7 (April 25, 2019)

The seventh day, while waiting for the import to be finished, I studied the framework and
checked out how it worked. I believe it will take some time for me to get used to it since it is
really different from the apps I usually use. And so, I completed the required applications for
work but still lack the knowledge to do work.

Day 8 (April 26, 2019)

The eighth day, I tried out the framework and studied its functions it was quite confusing and
new. We then asked for tips from our supervisor and then she gave us links to how to work
with it. We ended up using the whole day for study and trial for the framework.

Week 3 – April 29 - May 3, 2019

Day 9 (April 29, 2019)

The ninth day, we officially started with the project given to us which is to create a module
for Teacher performance. We were divided into 2 groups of three members. Along with this
work, we were also tasked to fix and work with the 3D printer which made it a whole lot
more fun. No problems where encountered during this day.

Day 10 (April 30, 2019)

The tenth day, we continued with the work given to us and along with some minor
discussions with our supervisor about the module to be created since we are complete
beginners in using the current framework(Frappe).

Day 11 (May 2, 2019)

The eleventh day, along with the members of our group, we discussed the steps and UI our
module will have. This paved our way to understanding the job and project we are to
accomplish. As for the rest of the day, we continued working with the project.

Day 12 (May 3, 2019)

The twelfth day, in the morning, we continued to work with the project but then tasked by
the boss to buy some mechanical parts for the 3D printer we were helping with. The rest of
the day was editing and printing of the things to be used for the company’s projects.

Week 4 – May 6 - May 10, 2019

Day 13 (May 6, 2019)

The thirteenth day, our group’s assigned projects are close to completion. The other
members were tasked with different activities such as assisting in sketchings for the 3D
printer and fieldwork.

Day 14 (May 7, 2019)

The fourteenth day, we continued with our assigned project. Encountered database
problems such as lacking data and where to find such data. Studied and worked with
members as to how to fix the encountered problem.

Day 15 (May 8, 2019)

The fifteenth day, alternating work with the 3D printer and the group project as I am not the
main programmer, overseeing the completed work of the printer and possible problems
that could show up for the project.

Day 16 (May 9, 2019)

The sixteenth day, aided in completing an installation of an app for the 3D printer for it to
be mobilized in person or away from the 3D printer. It works now.

Day 17 (May 10, 2019)

The seventeenth day, assisted in bringing construction materials for a project in a school by
WELA and ended the rest of the day with completion of the said app for the 3D printer.
