A narrative report for LTS

There was a minor incoordination for the schedule of our opening session.
Even so, we still did introduce ourselves and had a small activity to the learning
community of orange valley.

On the formal opening of the service we were complete. It started with a

prayer followed by the opening remarks from our class president and our instructor,
Mrs. Ma. Carolina Nuñeza, then followed by an action song. The kids was dancing
and having fun. After the fun dance, our story “A lesson for Lionel” and the kids were
with their attention listening to the story and the colourful big story book.

The story of Lionel was about a young arrogant Lion who was the son of the
Lion King. The other lion cubs do not like Lionel because of his arrogance. One day
he saw hyena cubs lost while paying within their territory. Instead of telling his father
about the cubs so that they can help them, he instead displayed his arrogance and
pushes them off their territory. They hyena cubs told their father about the arrogance
of the young lion and because of it they planned to attack their kingdom. The father
Lion King knew about the incident with Lionel and they hyena cubs, he confronted
Lionel about it and Lionel confessed about what happened. The Lion King was so
kind hearted and he forgave Lionel but they went to the territory of the hyenas to
apologize. They apologized to the hyena cubs and the parents and decided to share
their territory.

The lesson of the story was about arrogance, how it eats a man and his
personality, and the good of sharing. This story was selected by our group (Group 1)
so that we can teach the children that if you have plenty learn to share and
arrogance does not give any good to anyone.

A colouring activity was done after the story telling. The children was
colouring an uncoloured picture of the lion in the story Lionel. The children were
having fun while colouring. They were so very creative and we had to choose which
the best one for the culmination.

The children then took their healthy snacks that we prepared.It was loaf bread
and chickenpancitbihon and a cold beverage. They were enjoying the food and they
were happy. A healthy food is good for healthy and happy children. Then we ended
our program for that particular Saturday.
