Dear Mrs. Eleanor Isidro,

I am writing to you to express my desire to serve as a Science teacher in your

institution. Having recently obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in
Science at Philippine National University and passed the latest BLEP licensure examination.

Before graduating college, I was able to participate and join in different clubs and
organizations in our university where I got the chance to practice my leadership and academic
skills. I was always elected as one of the officers of the students’ body and our very own school
paper.

I have student teaching experience at the Junior High School department at Alicia
National High School. During these in-service experiences, I particularly enjoyed teaching
students. My careful preparation of lessons allowed me to break down complicated concepts to
simple examples that my young students could grasp, which was rewarding for both my students
and for me.

In the short period of my stay in ANHS, I was able to develop my communication skills
and I believe that it helped me be more prepared to a greater challenge which is to finally
embrace the job of being a full-time educator. I am confident that I am ready to work and do the
responsibilities of a teacher.

I am hoping that you will give an opportunity to teach in your reputed school.

 Reflection
On the first day of my reading and writing class, I thought that our class will
become boring because of speaking English. But my Reading and Writing classes
always had inspired me. It encourages logical thinking by forcing students to
organize their thoughts. It also helps them learn how to tell a story, communicate
ideas and record important moments.

To me, the first step to a successful education and life is learning to read.
After that goal is accomplished, finding a way to really enjoy reading is another
important factor in education. I believe that when someone learns to enjoy reading,
they will find it easier to enjoy learning in general. Being fluent in speaking
English will help us in our next studies especially in stepping college.

Interesting topics coming from interesting lecturers will not become boring,
yet it can help you to understand more about new topics. Having a great lecturer
will help you develop your skills and help you to know new knowledge that you
can share to other.

Reading and writing can help us to become a good communicator, enhance

new skills, and can help us to become a globally competitive person.
