( MENYUSUN KATA MENJADI KALIMAT )

1 ) perhatikan struktur kalimat , apakah kalimat itu positif , negative , atau


kalimat tanya ( introgative ) .
2 ) carilah subject kalimat tersebut , subject kalimat biasanya berupa kata benda
, kata ganti orang / nama orang .
3 ) carilah verb / kata kerja kalimat tersebut .
4 ) temukan object yang berupa kata benda biasanya ditambah dengan artikel
a / the .
5 ) temukan kata keterangan waktu / tempat apabila ada .
6 ) mulailah mengurutkan kalimat tersebut menjadi kalimat yang bermakna
sesuai dengan analisis kalian .

CLOZE PASSAGE ( PARAGRAF RUMPANG )

Memilih kata yang paling tepat untuk melengkapi kalimat bukanlah sesuatu
yang sulit . kalian harus jeli memahami makna kalimat serta pilihan jawaban
yang logis . saat memilih kata yang tepat untuk melengkapi kalimat , perhatikan
tips berikut ini :
1 ) apabila berupa kata benda ( noun ) , perhatikan apakah noun tersebut jamak
atau tunggal , countable noun ( dapat dihitung ) / uncountable noun ( tidak
dapat dihitung ) , kemudian sesuaikan dengan verbnya .
2 ) apabila berupa kata kerja ( verb ) , perhatikan tenste kalimat tersebut ,
apabila berbentuk lampau ( past ) . yang akan datang ( future ) dan continous
ini sedang dilaksanakan , kemudian sesuaikan pula dengan subject kalimat
tersebut .
3 ) apabila berupa kata ganti ( pronoun ) perhatikan verb yang mengikuti
pronoun tersebut .
4 ) perhatikan makna kalimat dan teks secara keseluruhan .

NARRATIVE TEXT
Texs narrative bertujuan untuk menghibur pendengar atau pembacanya .
Teks ini berkaitan dengan peristiwa pelik yang mengarah ke suatu krisis , yang
pada akhirnya menemukan suatu penyelesaian .
Ciri teks narrative adalah adanya unsur konflik ( masalah ) dan resolusi
( penyelesaian masalah ) . dalam teks narrative , kalian mungkin dapat
menemukan konflik dan penyelesaiannya lebih dari satu .
STRUKTUR TEKS NARRATIVE
1 . Orentation : pengenalan tokoh , waktu , dan tempat
2 . Complication : pengembangan konflik ( masalah )
3 . Resolution : penyelesaian konflik ( masalah )
4 . Re – orientation : perubahan pada tokoh atau pelajaran yang
dapat dipetik

CIRI – CIRI KEBAHASAAN TEKS NARRATIVE


1 . Menggunakan past tense
2 . Biasanya diawali dengan adverb of time ( kata keterangan waktu )
seperti a long time ago , in faraway land . dll
3 . Menggunakan kata hubung ( conjunctin ) seperti then , after that , before , dll
