1. MLA

 MLA style is a system for documenting sources in scholarly writing. For over half

a century, it has been widely adopted for classroom instruction and used

throughout the world by scholars, journal publishers, and academic and

commercial presses

 Generally used the discipline by the humanities

2. APA

 APA is the style of documentation of sources used by the American Psychological

Association. This form of writing research papers is used mainly in the social

sciences, like psychology, anthropology, sociology, as well as education and other

fields.

 Used by disciplines within the Social Sciences

3. American Psychological Association and Modern Language Association are writing and

formatting styles used in papers, reports, and academic essays. APA is predominately

used in the social sciences while MLA is predominately used in the liberal arts and

humanities.
