Question1

There is a limit about how much information that individual person can process,
and a limit on how many ideas and perspectives that person can see. Many
decisions need all members participate into that project, explore the task,
provide ideas and make a final decision. Also we can see that group members can
make a better decision than a person who makes decision by her or himself.

Question 2

Team member selection


The first step in developing a cohesive team is to make a selection of your team
members. When you select team members, leaders should take care of all
members that they can get along well with each other. If workers are not satisfied
with each other, they cannot be successful for this project.

Objective identification
All team members must clearly understand the team objectives and goals. Team
members should develop an objective as priority. After the task has been
allocated, members will be able to function cooperatively to work with each
other to achieve that goal.

Keep communication open


Communication is the key of building a successful team. Leaders should
encourage their members to communicate regularly with each other. They may
also use other method to communicate such as email, group chat to make sure
they have understood and helped each other.

Promote trust
All team members must trust each other for a team to be cohesive. Leaders can
build trust by encouraging members as well as listen feedback. Feedback can
enhance team’s performance. Therefore, all members can complete a task with
their all effort.

Question 3

Firstly, I will define the team member’s roles and functions in line with
organizational goals, plans and objectives. As long as you have allocated the task,
they will focus on tasks they have received and completed it. Leader should work
together work with team members to establish a common understanding of team
purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities. At the same time, leader also
needs to develop a specific performance plan including key performance
indicators for a team. Lastly, I will develop performance plan for each member of
this team to ensure that every one has completed their task and encourage them
to help each other.

Take shared responsibility for the conflict


Recognize and appreciate differences among people
Preserve individual dignity
Listen carefully and with empathy, listen to understand, communicate, do not
argue.
Be calm. Do no give into emotional outbursts or reactions
Vulnerability is a key to successful resolution, therefore, open up and share your
feelings
Do not assume people are being difficult intentionally
Choose a safe place or person with whom you can vent and clarify the issues for
yourself
Generate solutions and find agreement
Follow up to assume resolution and modify as necessary
