The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that usually has six strings.

It is typically played with

both hands by strumming or plucking the strings with either a guitar pick or the
finger(s)/fingernails of one hand, while simultaneously pressing the strings against the frets
with the fingers of the other hand. The sound of the vibrating strings is projected either
acoustically, by means of the hollow chamber of the guitar for an acoustic guitar, or through
an electrical amplifier and a speaker.

It is the most used instrument in genres such as blues, rock and heavy metal, especially in its
electric variant, while in flamenco a Spanish guitar with slight variations, known as flamenco
guitar is usually used. The classical guitar is also quite frequent among singer-songwriters, as
well as in folklore in several countries.

Components
This instrument is made of wood almost entirely. Nowadays, many different types are used,
although commonly the most used are mainly Indian rosewood and others: fir, mahogany,
Canada cedar, pine, cypress
Some guitarists have customized their guitars and can have more than one fingerboard or
exceed 6 strings. The most popular 7 strings are used in Brazilian popular music, the 8 strings
popularized by the great José Tomás, or the 10 strings by Narciso Yepes. However, it is not a
widespread issue. During the nineteenth century there were guitars of many different types,
such as harp guitars with different strings.

History
It is difficult to gig into the very origin of the guitar, in ancient times, there were several similar
instruments apparently who look the same as the guitar we know today.
The first demonstrations of an instrument that coincides with the philosophy of the guitar date
from the year 1000 BC, when the Assyrians and Hittites from turkey already used something
similar. And in ancient Egypt something similar happened, being what can be considered
precisely as the precursor of the guitar. From later times it is believed that it was the Romans
who introduced the instrument in Spain

Something that looked like the the guitars we know today were seen in the eleventh and
twelfth centuries. The mandorra was popular. They had differences in terms of form and
elements
The appearance of the first prototype of what we can consider Spanish guitar was in the xiv
century and it only had 4 strings wich it looked like a ukulele .
It began to be used by the Spanish people in celebrations and other acts. It was a tool that
enchanted the people and that encouraged any party.
In the xvi and xvii a fifth string was added to the guitar and the people began to create like
manuals in order for people play the instrument precisely
In the xviii The century begins with a decisive moment for the design of the guitar when a sixth
string is incorporated. On the other hand, modern tuning is adopted and the process of playing
the guitar also changes, both in the strings of the strings and in the placement of the hands.

Types of guitars
This is the definition of the main guitar, which is based on the use of strings with wire and
nylon. It provides a sound that is generated through a system with which the strings vibrate and
the sound is amplified inside an acoustic wooden box.
With this type of guitar the signals that occur when playing the strings end up becoming
electrical signals. The sound is very different and custom parts are used in the construction of
guitars, such as pickups. So you can only play it using an Guitar amplifier amplifier
The main characteristic of flamenco guitars can be seen in the use of different woods for their
manufacture, which gives it a very special style. Also, there are some changes in the
placement of some of its main parts. For example, there is less distance between the fretboard
and the strings,
