PROJECT TITLE: DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ONLINE WEB PORTAL

INTRODUCTION

Job portal is a web-based application, which help end user to find a job with searching criteria
like preferred location, job type, and work profile. One can post his/her details on this portal with
all relative information. The job portal can prove to be very helpful since it allows users of
different profile to upload their CVs, search job on the basis of their qualification. The Job Portal
management system Requires Employee Registration & Profiles, Job Search, Employer
Registration & Profiles, employer can add own Profile and post jobs and Job Seeker can Search
Jobs based on Geographical Area (Country, State, and City), Qualification, and Company wise or
on the Basis of Experience and Expertise wise.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Applicants were required to search through print and visual media for opportunities, most times
this jobs were limited to the applicant’s location, Application were submitted using the
conventional methods which weren’t effective and efficient based on loss of document during
transits and many more. The old system approach was tedious and requires much effort and
resources, most times Employers need to advertise the vacancies and sort all applicants’ details,
conduct selections procedures based on qualifications.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The project helps in proper management and coordination of the records and information. The
project will be able to give the report so that management can make decisions on the basis of
these reports. Job portal is developed to facilitate the General Administrative system to manage
the various information of the Job Seeker and Job Provider and the processes involved in a
Placement company. So that, the organization can access accurate information quickly and easily
as and when required, thereby improving its operational efficiency and effectiveness.

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The purpose of the study is to solve and develop an online Job Portal where applicants easily
find jobs and employer can find suitable candidates for the jobs.
