This project given to us by our respective lecturers or in other words our assignment, it is
based on our group hard work and late night research on the topic given and we do so in order to
accomplish the requirements of our assignment questions and to understand difficulties concerning
on jurisdiction of the cyberspace, contrary to the obvious jurisdiction boundaries laid down in real
life.
First and foremost, our respective lecturers for this subject Cyber law are Dr. Manique
Apsara Ephranella Cooray and also Miss Nadia Binti Abu Hassan. In this assignment given, our
group member is Syahirah, Anushiya, Lau Bei Hau Jessie and Ruben Bernie Gomez which is led
by our group leader, Muhammad Amir Rizah.
To begin with, we are extremely thankful to God for our health and to be given this chance
and also privilege to do the task in a group for the past few months. We as a group have learnt a
lot while doing our research and exploration for our assignment. We are able to work together and
converse together as a group especially in finding more issues, cases and the recommendations.
We have gained knowledge especially in learning more on matters pertaining to the depth of virtual
legal system in terms of the jurisdiction in cases of cybercrime.
Most importantly, this assignment would not be a successful task without the help of our
respective lecturers, Dr. Manique Apsara Ephranella Cooray and also Miss Nadia Binti Abu
Hassan. We would like to thank Dr. Manique Apsara Ephranella Cooray and also Miss Nadia Binti
Abu for guiding us immensely in our assignment. Both lecturers have taught us what is the most
imperative basis to inscribe in our assignment and also counselled us to focus in which parts in
order for us to excel in our assignment question. Not forgetting our fellow course mates that are
taking this subject and have helped our group in regards to this assignment. Also not forgetting
our families that have helped out in finalizing this assignment within the limited time frame.
Lastly, we hope that we did a fruitful assignment that able to accomplish and fulfill the
requirements stated by our lecturers and also by the question. Hopefully, all of our hard work of
research and burning the midnight oil are clearly presented in our assignment. Again, our group
would like to express our sincere and genuine gratitude to our lecturers for giving us this golden
opportunity to do this wonderful topic as well as to our families, friends and importantly God.

 Abstract

Forests play a fundamental role in moderating the ecosystem and protection towards many

species of living things around the world. Generally, even we as a human being are also almost

dependent on forest in most cases. Problems of sustainability of forests ecosystems is not only

technical but also socio-economic. Deforestation is such problems that creates unsustainability of

forests ecosystems around the globe. Global forest areas continue to decrease as the global

population continued to grow. A study based on legal regulation on deforestation in Malaysia was

conducted to conserve and restore forests sustainability. We are able to look into the causes and

consequences of deforestation in Malaysia. It is believed that if the proposed legal regulations

applied in Malaysia, it will bring a positive change in the rate of deforestation.
