Abstract

This research seeks to know the preferred Curriculum Exit between

Kolehiyo, Trabaho, Negosyo and Kasanayan sa Gitnang Antas ng Pag-unlad of

Grade 12 students of selected Barangay High Schools in Oton and the factors

affecting their choices. Descriptive Research Design Approach was utilized in this

study. 132 respondents were identified from 152 Grade 12 students of selected

Barangay High Schools in Oton using Slovin’s Formula and Stratified Random

Sampling Technique. The researchers distributed research questionnaire to

determine their preferred curriculum exit. Descriptive Statistical Tools was used

to express the student’s chosen curriculum exit. Data gathered were treated

statistically and tallied, means and percentages were computed.

This study revealed that 95 out of 132 respondents or 71.97% preferred

Higher Education as their Curriculum Exit. It also revealed that according to

Grade 12 students they always consider having a better career and finding a

better job as factors in choosing Higher Education.
