STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR CT FAN

OBJECTIVE: For Smooth Operation of CT Fan.

SCOPE: This SOP is applicable for 16 nos. of CT Fans.
INTRODUCTION: CT fans are needed to carry away the heat of the steam from the water that falls
into the CT basin.

5 Ensure oil level of the throttle box is normal  

6 Emergency push button is in released condition  

7 Check fan is not rotate in reverse direction  

2. TRIPPING OF FAN :If suddenly fan trips

1 CT FAN will stop if CW pump is tripped and interlock input is given. √ √

3. EMERGENCY SHUT DOWN:
1 There is the apparent abnormal noise after starting the fan. √ √

1 CT FAN will start if CW pump is running and interlock of CT fan is input..
