REPORTING INTO: POD Lead, US

THE ROLE:
MiQ is looking for a Business Analyst to work in the US Business Analytics team. The role would be supporting the growth and expansion of the US market. A lot of the US focus in
on the sustainable growth in the East Coast and West Coast will be the prime focus for US’ growth in 2019.
As a Business Analyst, you will hold a highly indispensable analytical role that requires interaction and partnership with stakeholders across markets – be it Product Solutions,
Client Services, Trading, Sales or Product Managers. You will be responsible for solving problems using media, CRM and real time macro data sources (such as Social, Weather
etc.) as a part of the Business Analytics team. In supporting a growing market, you will be expected to lead deliverables, requirements gathering and lead conversations with
the broader team. You should be an effective communicator capable of presenting insights and strategies to end consumers. You will also be required to prioritize and
manage expectations across diversified workstreams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO


● Advance Media Management
○ Identifying the scope of advanced campaign setup layering add on data sources
○ Diversified Product testing in important campaigns
● Custom Insights Generation
○ Delivering high quality custom insights using pixel/product data powered by
○ Stitching together multiple internal and external data sources
○ New ways of visualization and storytelling
○ Providing actionable recommendations in insights for Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients
● Stakeholder Action and Management
○ As a Product Stakeholder
■ Be involved in the product testing during new releases
■ Provide updates on the product development to the wider team and pass back team’s feedback to the Product Manager
○ Business Analyst
■ Have regular catch up with the market stakeholders (Client Services, Traders, Sales)
■ Proactive Identification of Media & Analytics upsell opportunities
● Automation
○ Automation of reporting/insights for new platforms/products to support the scale
○ Automation of repetitive client/market reporting/insights
○ Automation of internal repetitive tasks to free up bandwidth
● Reporting
○ Data Pull and report generation for media campaigns
○ Bespoke product based insights which are not yet automated
● Innovation
○ Be involved in testing existing products in innovative ways for performance & insights
○ Identify new ways of analysis of existing data

IN THREE MONTHS In this role, your goals will be:


● 85% Execution - Handling day-to-day requests for the market
● 10% Portfolio Planning - Identify key buying points for the market and lay down success strategies
● 5% Upskilling - Stay up to date with latest trends and developments in the analytics field and continuously learn new tools and techniques that can be used in our
analytics outputs

IN SIX MONTHS In this role, your goals will be:


● 80% Execution - Handling day to day requests for the market
● 15% Portfolio Planning - Sync with markets and identify key growth drivers for the market and plan strategies accordingly
● 5% Upskilling - Stay up to date with latest trends and developments in the analytics field and continuously learn new tools and techniques that can be used in our
analytics outputs

WHAT YOU WILL NEED


● ANALYTICAL THINKING - Should follow a logical approach towards solving business problems. Should be able to step in on open ended analytics problems and provide
solutions and ideas on what’s possible
● TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY -
○ Expertise in SQL, Excel and PowerPoint is a plus
● PROACTIVENESS - Being able to independently come up with ideas and advise commercial teams on ideas for analysis/opportunities for upweights
● COMMUNICATION SKILLS - Good verbal and written communication & data presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and
technical teams
● ATTENTION TO DETAIL - Good sense of attention to detail, able to spot interesting patterns and outliers in data
● MOTIVATION - High levels of motivation and desire to constantly get better and contribute to the Canada growth story simultaneously
● LEARNING MINDSET - willingness to try new tools/technologies and ability to grasp and learn quickly
● Be a strong TEAM PLAYER
