MUSIC CLASSES
Music: A language through which we express our
emotions/feelings.
Technically, music is to sing or play notes.

Note: The alphabets of music language. It is the pitch and


duration of a sound.

Pitch: The intensity/frequency/shrillness of a sound.

Duration: Length of a note.

Beat: A recurring pattern.

Rhythm: Combination of different beats.

Tempo: Speed of the song(measured in BPM).

BPM: Beats Per Minute.

Metronome: A device which produces a click sound at an


adjustable pace.

Tone: The way a sound sounds.

Improvisation: On the spot music composition.

Diaphragm: The muscle between lungs and stomach. Used in


deep breathing.

Solfa: Western method of using the note degrees
