2. State extended form of the parallelogram law of forces.

6. State and prove Lami’s theorem.
7. OA,OB,OC are the lines of action of two forces P and Q and their
resultant R respectively.Any transversal meets the lines in L, M and N
respectively. Prove that (P/OL) + (Q/OM) =(R/ON)
8. Write the laws of friction.
9. Discuss the equilibrium of a body on a rough inclined plane under a
force parallel to the plane.

SECTION-C (2×10=20)
Answer ALL the questions.
10. ABCDEF is a regular hexagon and at A, act forces represented by
AB,2AC,3AD,4AE and 5AF.Show that the magnitude of the resultant
is AB.√351 and that it makes an angle tan-1(7/√3) with AB.

11. Discuss the equilibrium of a body on a rough inclined plane under

any force.
