In the story of “The three little pigs, I observe that the author used formalism
literary device. The content of the story did not change its structure. The author
used repetition of the sentences. As you observed in the 3 to 5 stanza, the wolf
used the same and rhyming sentences like “Let me in, let me in little pig or I’ll huff
and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in and also the phrase “Not by the hair of
my chinny chin chin. The author did not used different words and the structure of
the content is still the same, it follows parallel structure. Parallel structure is a
repeating structure in the story. And also the author used character symbolism
like the character of the wolf the three little pigs. And also the author used a
character symbolism like the character of the three little pigs and the wolf, the
three little pig symbolize a man’s progress from the very beginning which is full of
obstacles and difficulty in life until he became successful and more stronger while
the wolf symbolize the obstacle of the man’s progress. The author also wanted to
emphasize the character of the wolf through its dialogue in the story that means
the wolf is a bad wolf.
