It isn’t easy to empty an overloaded wagon – or an overextended life! But God promises He will give us
the wisdom we need if we simply ask (James 1:5). As you work through the following steps from Tricia
Goyer, invite the Holy Spirit to show you anything (even good things!) that need to go in order to have
room to enjoy the abundant life Jesus came to give.

 In the main column, list the activities that you and your family are involved in (children, work,
hobbies, church, etc.)
 Pray over the list. Then prioritize the activities as to importance, assigning a number from one to
four – (1) being the most important and (4) being the least.
 With the Lord’s help, begin to eliminate the fours. It may be hard at first, but have courage to
remove any rock(s) God hasn’t called you to carry. You’ll be glad you did!
