10 August 2019 ~ Memoir/Family Narrative

1. I am going to reread my SFD and highlight sentences or words that I believe could be
better worded.
2. On Friday, I will begin to look at the structure of my essay and make sure it is flowing.
3. On Saturday I will look at more sources and images to refresh my memory about
freshman orientation and hopefully find something to include in my essay. I will also go
through my pocket Manual in order to learn how to properly cite my sources so I don't
accidentally plagiarize.
4. On Sunday I will be prepared to rewrite or add to my essay and work on citing my
sources. I will also make sure my structure is good and delete any unnecessary
details/fluff.

26 August 2019 ~ The Best We Could Do Project

1. I will do more research on verbal and non-verbal communication by looking back at my

lecture notes from Communication 1.
2. Fix my structure by using the article findings to back up the concepts I bring up instead
of using it in a separate paragraph.
3. Meet word requirements and fix minor adjustments/ reread.

1 September 2019 ~ Multimodal Remediation Project

For my Multimodal Remediation Project, I plan on remediating my Memoir. I plan on

remediating this by creating an 8-24 cell comic strip. I think remediating this particular project is
important because I believe that turning my words into visuals will help reveal facial expression
and environment. These visuals will give my memoir a more personal connection and more life.
The technology I plan to use for this project is a comic generator called storyboardThat. By using
this generator it will give me the opportunity to be creative and play around with graphics, colors
and various facial expressions. Using a generator will make the process somewhat easier given
the time barrier. The mode I plan to use for this project is mainly images and text.

An idea/question I have:​ ​I was thinking that maybe I can create my comic strip into a 3-5 minute
video so I can add an auditory recording along with it. I was thinking I can read it out loud which
will give the comic more personality as I can dramatize it. I will also include sounds such as
clapping and other sound effects with the mood of the scene. Does this sound like a good idea?

9 September 2019 ~ Course ePortfolio

1. Finalize my choice of medium for my portfolio/write Process Piece #3.

2. Edit template for my website.
3. Go to drop in office hours to get feedback before due date.
