Health & Safety . A Safety/ Site Supervisor shall be on site when there are site activities for the day to supervise and ready to act on all safety issues. . Daily Toolbox Meeting (TBM) shall be conducted and recorded every morning. = All personnel at site shall attend Safety Induction Course before commencing work. * Suitable and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shall be used according to the job requirement. PPE shall include the following: Safety Helmet/ Hard Hat with Chin strap Safety Glasses/ Goggles/ Face Shield Ear Plugs/ Muffs Reflective Vest Hand Gloves (Rubber, Cotton, Leather, cut resistance) Safety Hamess with lanyards attached to shock absorbers/ Restraint Belt Safety Boots/ Shoes (Mid /High cut) VVVVVY v * Working area as specified in the drawings shall be barricaded. Signage shall be put up to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the work area and to caution passerby near the worksite. * Housekeeping shall be done after the completion of work daily. Knife Accessories. = Extension boxes * Cables Termination = Screw driver/Test pen Accessories = Multimeter = _ Insulation Tester Preliminary works before actual work commencement Ensure no obstruction is observed on site. Ensure temporary storage area is clean and dry. Ensure confirm layout plan is ready for verifying information and planning. Affected work areas are to be barricaded. Obtain relevant permits from the Main Contractor for the work activities. Work Methods 4.1 Cable Laying Works Work permit should be acquired and displayed at working area. Ensure all workers have attended the daily tool box meeting and brief on the respective RA. Each worker shall be properly equipped with PPE. Ensure proper barricades and signages are display. To checked & verified the cable specifications by Electrical Department. Doc No CEE-UGL-MOS-001 Revision 20 CYCLECT Effective Date: 10-AUG-2018 COMPLETELY POSSIBLE Page 1 10f6 * The area handover certificate shall be signed for clearance before commencement of the cable pulling activity. * The entire route shall be inspected to ensure that the trench routing is complete, proper bends are used and free from any sharp edges. * Using winch machine to pull cable. * Make sure the winch machine inspected by LEW. = Ensure proper communication using winch machine. * Ensure the winch machine speed limit under control. * Location of the Existing services and live cable shall be identified and make sure. * Access ladder shall be provided along the route of the cable trench where required before commencing the cable laying on the trench. * Before start of Cable pulling, the actual route length shall be measured and checked for adequacy of cable length. * Confirm that all Tools required for installation are available. = Ensure sufficient quantity of Cable Tags is readily available. = Check suitable position for placing the Cable pulling winch depending on the length of the cable and the site condition. = Personnel involved in the activity shall be made aware of the risks and the steps to be taken to mitigate any hazard or unsafe situation. = Ensure the trench shoring are not dismantle during cable pulling. 4.2 Using Electrical Equipment * Ensure all electrical tools are in good working condition before and after use. * Workers must be equipped with proper PPES. * Only trained workers may operate the equipment. = Ensure all guards / safety devices are in place. * All electrical tools must be checked monthly, by LEW and have a valid sticker on it = Do not use any defective tools or carry out unauthorized repair. * Do not let electrical tools come into contact with water. = Allelectrical equipment / extension cables shall be fitted with industrial plug (not three-pin plugs). * Donot over load any electrical outlet * All wires shall be insulated and hung up to avoid contact with water and avoid posing a tripping hazard. ‘Doc No > CEE-UGL-MOS-001 Revision :0 + 10-AUG-2018 CYCLECT Effective Date COMPLETELY POSSIBLE Page 1 10f6 5. Emergency Preparedness &Teams Stop all activities on site. * Try to extinguish itifit is minor fire. + Immediately proceed to the assembly point. + Inform to the person-in-charge and alert others. * Follow the fire warden instructions and direction. 6. Review and Update This procedure, together with the risk assessment, shall be reviewed every 3 years or when the following conditions occur = After an injury / accident. = After a major change of head of department or equipment This Method Statement and all subsequent amendments shall be kept for at least 3 years
