Itinerary: Saturday, September 21st
Hamilton Band O Rama
Performance Uniform: Full Uniform. Students will dress on site, weather
depending.
11:00am: Report for attendance, equipment check
11:30am: Rehearsal begins- hats, plumes, gloves
1:00pm: Load Trailers with uniforms, instruments, etc.
*We may travel in bibs. Please be flexible for this event.
1:45pm: Depart CHS for Hamilton High School

3:15pm: Arrival, Hamilton. Students will stretch, assemble props and hype up in
the lot.

4:10pm: Meet Host, Go to Warmup! *chaperones follow to warm up, depart for
gate early to move props/front ensemble equipment*
5:30pm: PERFORM! GO BUCCS!
Band Line-up for the Evening is attached
8:30pm (approx.): Awards.
9:00 (approx.) Evening ends. Depart HHS for CHS.

10:45pm (approx.): Arrival at CHS. Students will be dismissed from the grass
outside the band room.

A text via “Remind” will be sent once we leave Hamilton High School. (If you
have NOT signed up for this service, PLEASE DO!)

General Information for the Day:
 ♫ Parent Chaperones: You must ride the bus to and from, and assist with pit
equipment and back drops/stage (if applicable). We need at least 6
ADULT helpers for this contest! We cannot guarantee “free” admission
unless you are on the bus- this is how contests are conducted. OMEA
regulations- NOT COVINGTON’S.
♫ Parent Supporters: Tickets can be purchased at the gate- $8 adults, $5
students. Bring friends and family and come cheer us on! Remember- this
is an “outdoor concert”; signs and support are appreciated, but so is
silence for our group and others when they’re performing on the field.
♫ Goodie Bags will be distributed for the bus ride.
o SENIORS have this rotation- coordinate with your section!
o Please remember no eating or drinking on the bus- STATE LAW.
♫ WATCH THE WEATHER!
♫ Students that are preapproved to leave early MUST follow these
regulations:
o A PARENT must sign students out directly with Mrs. Moore, and
provide a note EARLY. On site transportation changes will not be
granted; there are too many moving parts to dismiss students with
no prior notice.
o Students may not leave until all equipment is loaded and secured
on the trailer
♫ Students are encouraged to bring money for the concession stand at the
contest. Other vendors (band clothing, band sprit buttons, etc.) may be
there as well! Just remember- There is NO eating on the bus!
♫ You will need to wear your SHOW Shirt ALL day.
♫ We sit TOGETHER after the performance, on the AWAY side. Remember
your job during Awards!
♫ It is your job to watch other bands perform not only to show support, but
to gain perspective on what we are doing well and where our
opportunities to improve are. It is EXPECTED that you will represent our
band, your directors and CHS with dignity and pride. Remember: You
NEVER know who is watching!
