Dear Leondre,
The Caribbean Science Foundation (CSF) would like to thank you for your application to the 2019 SPISE.
We are very pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into this summer’s program. All of your
SPISE-related expenses in Barbados will be paid. In addition, Ms. Daneilia De Silva in the CSF office will
book and purchase your airline tickets to/from Barbados, which will be paid for by the CSF. We received
many excellent applications and are very excited that the program will comprise such a strong group of
students. Please confirm your participation in SPISE 2019 via e-mail to csfhdq@gmail.com by the
evening of Monday May 20th 2019. We will inform you of your sponsor as soon as possible.
Should you accept this offer, please plan to arrive at UWI-Cave Hill by 3 pm on Saturday, July 13th, 2019
as we plan to have our first meeting of all SPISE participants at a dinner reception at 6 pm that evening.
The SPISE will conclude on the evening of Saturday, August 10th 2019, so you should plan to depart on
the morning of Sunday, August 11th 2019. We will be sending more detailed logistical information to
you after we receive your confirmation of participation.
We look forward to helping you further your STEM career aspirations through SPISE!
Sincerely,
